Hi, i am Balkaran Sidhu, an international student at college of New Caledonia, Studying Tourism and Hotel Management. Basically, I belong to India and moved to Prince George in 2019. I have been living in Prince George since last few months. When I arrived into the city, like most of immigrants, the big question for me was where to go to spend some quality time, as I am still coming to know about more and more beautiful places in the city. So, in this blog I am going to write about the places one must visit after arriving to the Prince George. The reason behind writing about this is that when I arrived in the city, I knew no one from earlier. So I had to make new friends here. Due to this reason, I had no one who could tell me that what is the most worth watching places in the Prince George city. So, if you are planning to move into Prince George, and you like spending time, exploring a new place, then I hope that you find some useful information here. The three places I will be talking about in this blog are Pine Center Mall, Lheildi T'enneh Memorial Park and
1. Pine Centre Mall: Pine Centre Mall is one of the most visited place in the Prince George city. The store was first opened in 1974 by Super-Valu grocery store and Woolco department store, and then phase two was expanded in 1976, when Sears, another store chain in Canada took interest in Pine Centre Mall. Then it was called the largest shopping center in Canada's norhtland. ( Frank Peebles, 2018) The mall is located at 3055 Massey drive suite 156 and is easily accessible through public transportation or private vehicle as well, as every bus in the city has its route through the Massey drive, which give the mall an upper hand.

As Pine Center is a mall, so there is no admission amount included and anyone one can to go the mall, even when someone does not want to buy anything. The best thing about the Pine Centre Mall, is that it offers a variety of service and products and service, for example clothing, mobile phones, food, departmental store, jewelry and many other products. Apart from that, the mall is a multicultural place like the city as well. One can find people from many different parts from the world, gathered at one place for one same reason, which is shopping. If you are someone, who loves shopping and interested in socializing as well, it is the perfect place for you. Apart from, that if you are looking to buy things at reasonable and affordable prices, then it is a must visit place. As I also went to Pine Center Mall to buy clothes with in an affordable price and good quality as well. Moreover, if someone do like to hang out with friends, then Pine Centre Mall is one of the best options in the city.
2. Lheildi T'enneh Memorial Park: The word Lheildi means "two rivers flowing together" and T'enneh means people. Prince George is located on the territory of the Lheildi T'enneh. The park has a cemetery for the Lheildi T'enneh. It was formerly known as Fort George Park before 2015. (Lheildi T'enneh, 2017)

The park is located at the shores of Fraser River, at 1870 Gorse street. The place be reached by public transportation as bus service is available throughout the whole day, or one can choose the personal vehicles as well. The park is open from 6 AM to 10 PM. It is one the well known parks in the city. Their are several reasons that make, not only me but many of the population interested in the park. The park has rotary playground and water park and the exploration place, . Picnic sites, floral gardens, tennis courts, ball diamonds, a band-shell, mini train, the Exploration Place museum, and sand volleyball as well. Apart from that, the park is located near to Fraser river, which provides a beautiful experience to visitors. Moreover, the the park has memorial as well for the native people of the city. The park is one of the best places for people who want to enjoy beautiful views of nature, while doing some fun activities.
3. Hart ski Hill: Hart ski hill has been providing the snow services to the city residents, since last 50 years. It is the only only local sky and snowboard hill. It is located at the distance of 15 minutes from the downtown Prince George. It has 22 acres of snowboarding trails and claims to be one of the best Terrain park in northern British Columbia. They offers different prices for people of different age groups, and price also differ for day and night packages. They offer free services for children under 6 years of age as well as for 65+. For youth and adult their prices ranges between $15 per day to $ 19 per day, and per night price ranges from $13 to $ 17. The best thing about the Hart ski hill is that they organizer events keeping in mind the different people groups, and try to cover the whole population of the city. Apart from that they offer cocktails, dinners and parties to their customers. So, I would say that the Hart ski hill is one the best place in the Prince George city for the people, who are interested in doing winter activities, and try to provide a full experience to the people, who want to do some adventure during the winter time.
Conclusion: In the end, the city has a lot to offer to new comers to make their interesting and enjoyable in the cities, as city has places providing service for almost to all type of customers, such as shopping lovers, nature lover, adventurous people. According to me, as mentioned above Pine Centre Mall, Lheildi T'enneh Memorial Park and Hart ski hill. However, these are not the only places where one can go. As told above, city has something for almost every-type of customers, such city many ethnic restaurants, many other shopping spaces, lakes and parks, railway museum, clubs and bars, UNBC and many more.
